The recent surge in dengue and chikungunya patients within our pune city has become alarming, putting a significant strain on healthcare resources. In light of this, there is an urgent need to organize blood donation camps to support those affected by dengue and chikungunya.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO DONATE BLOOD?

➢ Age between 18 and 65 years

➢ Weight over 45 kg

➢ Hemoglobin: Above 12.5gms % (will be verified before blood donation at the center)

➢ Normal Temperature

➢ Should not be fasting prior to blood donation. Should have taken breakfast/light meal before coming for blood donation.

➢ Should not smoke at least 2 hours before and after blood donation.

➢ No Alcohol intake in last 48 hours

➢ For Ladies: Do not give blood during menstruation, during pregnancy, during breast feeding or had an abortion less than 6 months before.
