About the event

Mayan Archaeoastronomy: Observers of the Universe
A short docent-led guided tour of June/July night skies, followed by a fulldome video presentation. Mayan Archaeoastronomy: Observers of the Universe transports us into the minds of the Mayan civilization whose empire peaked around year 500. Meet the feathered serpent god Ku’ku’lkan, Jaguar goddess Ixchel and others, and learn of the remarkable mathematical proficiency of the Mayans.

Tickets are $5 at the door, cash or check only please.
