Minnesota native singer-songwriter Katy Tessman is hitting the road this June with her “Write My Own Story” tour in support of her new album.

Join award-winning children’s book author and songwriter Katy Tessman for a heartfelt program of music, storytelling, and inspiration. With original songs, interactive sing-alongs, and excerpts from her book “Our Mama is a Beautiful Garden,” she shares her family’s breast cancer journey through the eyes of her young sons.

This uplifting presentation celebrates courage, hope, and the power of books—with a special “show-and-tell” featuring titles about bravery. The program concludes with her signature song “Hero Now Crowned,” now a beautifully illustrated lyric picture book that reminds us all of the hero within.
