Gidget (1959) | Hollywood Summer Nights Classic Film Series

Our Annual summer classic film series HOLLYWOOD SUMMER NIGHTS is back! We're showing two classic films a week on our big screen from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The Series continues in July with the 1959 teen classic GIDGET!𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝗧𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀: princetongardentheatre.org/specials

𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗲: Sandra Dee plays the title character in this fun, sun-drenched, romantic romp. Gidget wants to spend her days learning how to surf from her new teen friends Moondoggie and the Big Kahuna, and she becomes infatuated with the pair as she looks for waves and love during one transformative summer. GIDGET helped kick off the whole “beach party” film genre that would become popular with teens of the ‘60s.
