#LinkingLeyland 10K

We’ve been working closely with Cuerden Valley Park & Revolution running to make this year’s 10k even better. Last year we had 152 runners take to the park & this year we want to double this!

Proceeds from the race will go towards a local child called Filip.

Filip is a wonderful 8-year-old boy who was diagnosed with a brain tumour in June 2022. Unfortunately, after surgery to remove the tumour, he suffered a stroke, which kept him in the hospital for 767 days.

CVPT are raising funds to allow Filip & his family to spend more time outdoors as a family on bike trips, but in order to do that they need a specialist bike trailer for Filip, that will give him enough support to keep him safe.
We are also raising funds to improve Filip’s communication with a device called Eyegaze, that will give him more independence around telling his family what he needs.


They’ll be a 1K fun run at 10:15am – £5 entry each

The 10K run will start at 11:00 am – £15 entry each

A medal is included for all participants.

There will be water stations along the route
