About the Workshop
This two-day intensive is designed for actors who have already built a foundation in the Meisner Technique (wether with Lucie or another teacher or at school) and are ready to move into the scene study stage — where the work deepens and the craft becomes art.
This weekend will help you bring text to life through truthful behavior, emotionalpreparation, and active listening. You’ll discover how to use the script as a living score — not to be recited, but to be experienced.
What You’ll Experience — Step by Step
1. Emotional Preparation
Learn to enter each scene from your heart, not your head — fully alive and connected.
2. The First Moment
Discover how a scene begins before the words. Arrive truthfully, take in your partner, and let the first moment happen naturally.
3. Relationship & Circumstances
Make the world of the play your own — connect personally to what’s happening and who you’re with.
4. Doing Truthfully
Acting is doing. Find what your character wants and play it truthfully through action.
5. Listening & Responding
Experience real connection by listening deeply and letting each moment affect you.
6. Working Through Conflict
Stay truthful in tension and need — let your instincts guide you.
7. Integration & Scene Work
Bring it all together in partnered scenes with individual feedback and reflection.
