S každým nádechem se ti úzkostlivě stáhne hrdlo - vzduch již přestal být neviditelný, hlásí se štiplavou strukturou a kovovou pachutí. Oceány stoupají a s nimi i tvá horečka, lesy hoří a v tobě cosi doutná. Dosud známý svět zbavuje své kůže a ty také. Zdá se ti, že to možná není jen obyčejné počasí, ale jde o symptom. Výstava The Stranger načrtává představu postapokalyptického světa rozvráceného ekologickým kolapsem a digitálním nánosem jako místa hybridizace, kde se mísí stroje, ruiny a nová těla. Zpochybňuje mýtus autonomního já a rozvíjí spekulativní scénář liminálního prostoru, kde cizost znamená přežití a lidskost se stává mýtem.
Jung Min Lee (*1986) je korejská umělkyně žijící a tvořící v Berlíně. Věnuje se především malbě, ve které propojuje svůj zájem o počítačové hry, imerzivní imaginaci a (post)digitální zkušenost. Ve své tvorbě zkoumá příběhy sociální úzkosti a konfliktů způsobených environmentálními krizemi poháněnými kapitalismem a technologickou civilizací. V těchto příbězích sbírá a sdílí fragmenty lidskosti, které se proplétají a odrážejí v postavách obývajících její obrazy. Absolvovala na Hochschule für bildende Künste Hamburg, kde studovala pod vedením profesorky Angely Bulloch a profesorky Jutty Koether, dále získala magisterský titul na Vysoké škole výtvarných umění Soulské národní univerzity. V posledních letech pracuje na malířských cyklech Tipping Point (od roku 2025), 9999 Days (od roku 2023) a There is no human (2020-2022), které jsou inspirovány sci-fi a dystopickými příběhy. Její díla byla představena na výstavách jako například Imminent Reveries v Offsite by Wehrmuehle v Berlíně (2024), There has to be something in the room v ACUD Gallery v Berlíně (2024), Meteor v Projektraum Kunstquartier Bethanien v Berlíně (2024), Spiral v Hinten Links Gallery (2022), No Escape Room v MS Stubnitz (2022), We meet people and do stuff v Gröninger Hof v Hamburku (2022).
Magdaléna Rybanská (*1999) je původem slovenská umělkyně působící v Praze. Ve své tvorbě vytváří multimediální instalace, ve kterých kombinuje fotografii, sochu a práci s kovem. Věnuje se zkoumání digitálního prostoru a jeho působení na lidské tělo, na jehož základě pak vytváří spekulativní scénáře budoucích tělesných modifikací. Zajímá ji především fragmentace naší pozornosti a ohledávaní nových způsobů, jak zpracováváme informace. Absolvovala bakalářské studium na Vysoké škole uměleckoprůmyslové v Praze v Ateliéru volného umění I. pod vedením Dominika Langa a momentálně pokračuje v navazujícím magisterském programu v ateliéru Sochy 2 pod vedením Tomáše Hlaviny a Jimeny Mendozy na Akademii výtvarných umění v Praze. Během studia absolvovala dvě stáže v rámci programu Visiting Artist studio, hostované umělkyní Majou Smrekar a později Mattem Mullicanem. Během roku 2022 se účastnila rezidence v Nagymarosu v Maďarsku zabývající se zkoumáním podvědomí, organizované spolkem PAIKKA. Její práce bylo možné vidět na kolektivních výstavách jako Úhel pohledu 3: Rovnováha v Centru současného umění DOX (2025 - 2026), Somatické v galerii Jelení v Praze (2025), na symposiu Křehké formy, odolné formy v PLATO Ostrava (2023) nebo v rámci sólové výstavy Browsing Bruises v Basement gallery v Olomouci (2024).

With every breath, your throat tightens anxiously - the air has ceased to be invisible, it announces itself with a pungent texture and a metallic aftertaste. The oceans rise and with them your fever, the forests burn and something smoulders inside you. The known world sheds its skin and so do you. It seems to you that this may not be just ordinary weather, but a symptom. The Stranger exhibition sketches the idea of a post-apocalyptic world disrupted by ecological collapse and digital overlay as a place of hybridisation, where machines, ruins and new bodies mingle. It questions the myth of the autonomous self and develops a speculative scenario of a liminal space where strangeness means survival and humanity becomes a myth.
Jung Min Lee (*1986) is a Korean artist living and working in Berlin. She primarily works in painting, combining her interests in gaming, immersive imagination, and (post)digital experiences. Her work explores stories of social anxiety and conflict caused by environmental crises driven by capitalism and technological progress. She gathers and shares fragments of humanity woven throughout these narratives, which are reflected in the characters that inhabit her paintings. She received her M.F.A. and B.F.A. from Hochschule für bildende Künste Hamburg, studying under Prof. Angela Bulloch and Prof. Jutta Koether, she also received M.F.A. from Seoul National University’s College of Fine Arts. Recent bodies of work include the ongoing painting cycles Tipping Point (since 2025), 9999 Days (since 2023), and There is no human (2020–2022), all of which are inspired by science fiction and dystopian storytelling. Her works have been shown in exhibitions: Imminent Reveries, Offsite by Wehrmuehle in Berlin (2024), There has to be something in the room, ACUD Gallery in Berlin (2024), Meteor, Projektraum Kunstquartier Bethanien in Berlin (2024), Spiral (solo), Hinten Links Gallery in Hamburg (2022), No Escape Room, MS Stubnitz in Hamburg (2022), We meet people and do stuff, Gröninger Hof in Hamburg (2022).
Magdaléna Rybanská (*1999) is a Slovak artist based in Prague. In her work she creates multimedia installations combining photography, sculpture and metal work. She explores digital space and its effect on the human body, based on which she creates speculative scenarios of future bodily modifications. She is particularly interested in the fragmentation of our attention and the exploration of new ways of processing information. She completed her Bachelor's degree at the Academy of Arts and Crafts in Prague in the Studio of Free Art I under Dominik Lang and is currently pursuing her Master's degree in the Studio of Sculpture 2 under Tomáš Hlavina and Jimena Mendoza at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. During her studies she completed two internships within the Visiting Artist studio program, hosted by artist Maja Smrekar and later by Matt Mullican. During 2022 she participated in a residency in Nagymaros, Hungary exploring the subconscious, organized by PAIKKA. Her work could be seen in collective exhibitions such as Point of View 3: Balance at the DOX Centre for Contemporary Art (2025 - 2026), Somatic at Jelení gallery in Prague (2025), in the symposium Fragile Forms, Resistant Forms at PLATO Ostrava (2023) and in the solo exhibition Browsing Bruises at Basement gallery in Olomouc (2024).
