CZ 🇨🇿 Letošní Prague Offspring začne psát novou tříletou kapitolu jednoho z nejlepších světových ansámblů specializujících se na soudobou hudbu – Ensemble Modern. Soubor, jenž jako první evropské hudební těleso v historii uvedlo hudbu Steva Reicha a spolupracovalo na projektech s Frankem Zappou, Fredem Frithem, Helmutem Lachenmannem nebo György Ligetim, představí na letošním Pražském jaru 5 světových premiér českých a slovenských skladatelů – Slavomíra Hořínky, Barbory Tomáškové, Jana Ryanta Dřízala, Haštala Hapky a Pavla Šabackého – společně s díly rezidenčního skladatele Prague Offspring 2025, sira George Benjamina, korejské autorky Unsuk Chin a britského skladatele Olivera Knussena. Koncerty doprovodí workshopy, masterclass a volně přístupné besedy s umělci. EN 🇬🇧 This year's Prague Offspring will begin a new three-year chapter of one of the world's finest ensembles specializing in contemporary music - Ensemble Modern. The ensemble, which was the first European group in history to perform the music of Steve Reich and has collaborated on projects with Frank Zappa, Fred Frith, Helmut Lachenmann and György Ligeti, will present five world premieres by Czech and Slovak composers at this year's Prague Spring Festival – Slavomir Hořínka, Barbora Tomášková, Jan Ryant Dřízal, Haštal Hapka and Pavel Šabacký – together with works by Prague Offspring 2025 composer-in-residence, Sir George Benjamin, Korean composer Unsuk Chin and British composer Oliver Knussen. The concerts will be accompanied by workshops, masterclasses and freely accessible talks with the artists. Join us at the DOX Centre for Contemporary Art for two days pulsating with the present and full of contemporary music of many faces and approaches! Look into the mirror of the 21st century!
