Čtvrtý ročník festivalu vizuálního umění Prague Art Week se uskuteční od 25. do 28. září 2025. Bude zahájen 25. září společně s výstavou HAC#2 – Havrlant Art Collection 10th anniversary ve Výstavní síni Mánes. Rozsáhlá výstava představí kurátorský výběr zásadních děl získaných během posledních 10 let. K vidění budou obrazy, objekty i videoartové instalace od tuzemských i zahraničních autorů, přičemž řada z nich bude v rámci této události vystavena v Praze vůbec poprvé. Mezi další lákavé body programu budou patřit například výstava Bod nula, která bude úplně první expozicí Kodl Contemporary ve zcela nových prostorách futuristické krychle na Dvořákově nábřeží, nebo skupinová výstava Young Selection 02, jejímž prostřednictvím festival již podruhé podpoří mladé a perspektivní umělce a umělkyně, letos ve spolupráci a v prostorech uměleckého hubu The House. Návštěvníci se rovněž mohou těšit na tradičně bohatý program, který ve 40 galeriích, muzeích, ale i dalších neobvyklých lokacích po celé Praze bude ve vybraných dnech a časech přístupný zdarma.
Sbírka Kateřiny Havrlant vzniká od roku 2015 a během deseti let se vyprofilovala jako jedna z nejprogresivnějších kolekcí současného umění v České republice s důrazem na podporu mladých a lokálních talentů, akvizicemi zaměřenými na středoevropský a východoevropský region, ale také zaměřením na digitální umění a videoart. Výstava ukáže díla tuzemských i zahraničních autorů, jako jsou Pakui Hardware, Igor Hosnedl, Klára Hosnedlová, Anna Hulačová, Zsófia Keresztes, Botond Keresztesi, Eliška Konečná, Eva Koťátková, Tadeáš Podracký nebo Anna Uddenberg. K vidění ale budou i mediálně různorodá díla dalších renomovaných českých umělců a umělkyň. Kurátor Ján Gajdušek připravil výběr reprezentující šíři akviziční strategie od figurativního malířství po experimentální videoart. V rámci festivalu se otevře také výstavní prostor The House. Ten ve svých nově zrekonstruovaných prostorách funkcionalistické vily na Ořechovce uvede již druhou výstavu Young Selection 02, která má za cíl veřejnosti představit mladé a perspektivní umělce a umělkyně. Díla vybere odborná komise za Prague Art Week ve spolupráci s nadací The House, Galerií KODL, Artslimit. Kromě skupinové výstavy zde budou otevřeny také umělecké ateliéry deseti rezidentů. The House s magickou zahradou a výjimečným geniem loci se tak stane místem pro dialog mezi etablovanou a nastupující výtvarnou scénou.
Festival Prague Art Week i letos promění Prahu v otevřenou galerii. Veřejnost bude mít možnost zdarma navštívit na 40 míst zapojených do oficiálního programu. Návštěvníci se mohou těšit na slavnostní vernisáže, nové sólové i skupinové výstavy, stejně jako na komentované prohlídky, přednášky a setkání s umělci.
Z pražských privátních galerií se do programu zapojí například BOLD Gallery, C12 Gallery, Clauda, Golden Ratio Gallery, Polansky Gallery, SPOT Gallery, The Chemistry Gallery a galerie The Design, Sothebys International Realty, Untitled Art Advisory, které představí zejména výstavy současného mladého umění.
Zastoupeny budou také aukční síně – Dorotheum s výstavou Zorky Ságlové, Art House Hejtmánek s pracemi Oty Janečka a Galerie KODL, která již tradičně uvede předaukční výstavu Artslimit. Diváci budou moci navštívit nové Mucha Muzeum v paláci Savarin nebo známé pražské umělecké instituce, které nabídnou speciální doprovodné programy. Patří mezi ně například Centrum současného umění DOX, kde bude probíhat výstava Davida Lynche, Galerie hlavního města Prahy, HYB4 Galerie, Kunsthalle Praha, kde se mohou těšit na komentované prohlídky a workshopy pro děti. Program nabídne ale také MeetFactory, Národní galerie Praha mimo jiné s výstavou laureátů Ceny Jindřicha Chalupeckého, nebo Obrazárna Pražského hradu. Progresivní umělecké přístupy najdou návštěvníci také v nezávislých prostorách, jako jsou Berlinskej model, Galerie AMU, Galerie NoD, nebo v galerii Holešovická Šachta.
Milovníci netradičních lokací a umění ve veřejném prostoru se budou moci těšit na dvě umělecká díla Cukrovar Art v pražských Modřanech či na výstavu a performance v klášteře na Bílé hoře, která bude pokračováním projektu Ora et lege.

The fourth edition of the art festival Prague Art Week will take place from 25 to 28 September 2025. The festival will open on 25 September together with the exhibition HAC#2 – Havrlant Art Collection 10th Anniversary at the Mánes Exhibition Hall. The large-scale exhibition will present a curated selection of essential works acquired by the collection over the last decade. It will feature paintings, objects, and video art installations by Czech and international artists, many of which will be exhibited in Prague for the first time. Other enticing program highlights include the exhibition Point Zero, which will be KodlContemporary’s very first show in its brand new space in a futuristic cube on the Dvořák Embankment, or the group exhibition Young Selection 02, through which the festival will once again be supporting promising young artists, this year in collaboration with and in the spaces of the art hub and gallery The House. Visitors can also look forward to the usual rich program of Prague Art Week, which will be open to the public free of charge on selected days and times in forty galleries, museums, and other unusual locations across the city.
Founded in 2015 by Kateřina Havrlant, over the last decade the Havrlant Collection has emerged as one of the most progressive contemporary art collections in the Czech Republic, with an emphasis on supporting young, local talent through acquisitions oriented on the region of central and eastern Europe but also with a focus on digital and video art. The exhibition will showcase works by Czech and international artists such as Pakui Hardware, Igor Hosnedl, Klára Hosnedlová, Anna Hulačová, Zsófia Keresztes, Botond Keresztesi, Eliška Konečná, Eva Koťátková, Tadeáš Podracký, and Anna Uddenberg. However, works in diverse media by other renowned Czech artists will also be on display. Curator Ján Gajdušek has prepared a selection representing a broad range of acquisition strategies, from figurative painting to experimental video art. The exhibition is thus not a mere overview but also a statement about the changes in contemporary art and the collector’s perspective of it. It deliberately highlights the media and themes that have shaped not only aesthetics but also social discourse in recent years. The exhibition HAC#2 – Havrlant Art Collection 10th Anniversary will run until 6 October at the Mánes Exhibition Hall.
The festival will also include the opening of the exhibition space The House. In its newly renovated premises in a functionalist villa in Ořechovka, it will present the exhibition Young Selection 02, which once again aims to introduce promising young artists to the public. The exhibited works will be selected by an expert committee for Prague Art Week in cooperation with The House, KODL Gallery, and Artslimit. In addition to the group exhibition, ten resident artists will also have open studios. With its magical garden and exceptional genius loci, The House will become a place for dialogue between the established and emerging art scenes.
This year Prague Art Week will once again transform the city into an open gallery. The public will have the opportunity to visit the roughly forty venues involved in the official program free of charge. Visitors can look forward to openings, new solo and group exhibitions, guided tours, lectures, and meetings with artists.
Participating private galleries include BOLD Gallery, C12, Clauda, Golden Ratio Gallery, Polansky Gallery, SPOT Gallery, The Chemistry Gallery, and The Design, Untitled Art, Sothebys Int. Realty all of which will be presenting exhibitions of young contemporary artists.
Auction houses will also be represented, including Dorotheum, which will have an exhibition of Zorka Ságlová, Art House Hejtmanek present works of Ota Janeček and KODL Gallery, which will once again present the preauction exhibition of Artslimit. Audiences will also be able to visit the new Mucha Museum in the Savarin Palace, and Prague’s most renowned art institutions will have special accompanying programs. For instance, the DOX Centre for Contemporary Art will have an exhibition of David Lynch, and visitors can look forward to guided tours and workshops for children at the Prague City Gallery, HYB4 Gallery, and Kunsthalle Praha. There will also be special programs at MeetFactory, the National Gallery Prague hosting Jindřich Chalupecky Price, and the Prague Castle Picture Gallery. Visitors will also find progressive artistic approaches in independent spaces such as Berlinskej Model, GAMU, Galerie NoD, or Holešovická Šachta.
Lovers of unconventional locations and art in the public space can look forward to two artworks from the project ART.cukrovar in Prague’s Modřany neighborhood or an exhibition and performance in the Bílá Hora Monastery, which is a continuation of the project Ora et lege.
