Soukromá sbírka současného umění Kateřiny Havrlant – Havrlant Art Collection – letos oslaví deset let své existence výstavou, která se uskuteční v rámci Prague Art Week 25 ve Výstavní síni Mánes. Expozice bude slavnostně zahájena 25. září spolu se čtvrtým ročníkem pražského týdne umění a potrvá až do 6. října 2025.
Představen bude výběr zásadních prací, které byly do sbírky získány v uplynulých letech.

Havrlant Art Collection se během deseti let vyprofilovala v jednu z předních sbírek současného umění v České republice. Od roku 2015 se soustředí na podporu zejména mladších umělců a umělkyň a jejich tvorbu sleduje dlouhodobě. Veřejnosti byla poprvé sbírka představena v roce 2022 na skupinové výstavě HAC#1, která proběhla v Pragovka Gallery během festivalu Prague Art Week 22. Kurátorský výběr se tehdy zaměřil na zastoupenou malířskou tvorbu, kterou doplnilo několik sochařských objektů.
Jedním z rysů, které dlouhodobě určují směřování Havrlant Art Collection, je zájem o médium pohyblivého obrazu – video art. Díky profesnímu zaměření sběratelky Kateřiny Havrlant, která dlouhodobě působila v technologických firmách, se sbírka již od počátku své akviziční činnosti zaměřuje na oblast digitálního umění.
Kurátor Ján Gajdušek, který sbírku dlouhodobě spravuje, připravil výběr uměleckých děl, jenž částečně navazuje na první výstavu sbírky z roku 2022, která se soustředila zejména na malbu. Kromě obrazů tak nyní budou k vidění objekty a videoarty z posledních let. Výstava tedy nemá ambici být pouze bilancí, ale také výpovědí o proměnách současného umění a sběratelského pohledu na něj. Záměrně zdůrazňuje média, témata a umělecké přístupy, které v posledních letech formují umělecký a společenský diskurz.
Samotná výstava bude ve dnech 25. až 28. září 2025 součástí Prague Art Week 25, největší tuzemské události věnované výtvarnému umění.
Výstava potrvá až do 6. října a bude ve všech dnech přístupná pro širokou veřejnost zdarma.

This year Kateřina Havrlant’s private collection of contemporary art—the Havrlant Art Collection—is celebrating its tenth anniversary with an exhibition at the Mánes Exhibition Hall during Prague Art Week25. The exhibition will open on 25 September, together with the fourth edition of Prague Art Week, and will run until 6th October 2025.
The exhibition will feature a selection of essential works that have been acquired by the collection in recent years, including paintings, spatial objects, and video art installations.

Over the last decade Havrlant Art Collection has developed into one of the leading collections of contemporary art in the Czech Republic. Since its founding in 2015 it has focused primarily on supporting younger artists, following their work over the long term. The collection was first presented to the public in 2022 at the group exhibition HAC#1, which took place at Pragovka Gallery during Prague Art Week22. At that time the curatorial selection focused on painted works in the collection, which were complemented by several sculptural objects.
One of the traits that has long determined the direction of the Havrlant Art Collection is an interest in the medium of the moving image—video art. Thanks to the professional focus of collector Kateřina Havrlant, who has a long history in the tech industry, the collection has focused on digital art since the very beginning of its activities.
Curator Ján Gajdušek, who has been managing the Havrlant Art Collection for many years, has prepared a selection of works that builds on the first exhibition of the collection in 2022, which focused mainly on painting. In addition to paintings, the exhibition will also feature objects and video art from recent years. The exhibition thus does not aspire to be a mere overview but also a statement about the changes in contemporary art and the collector’s perspective of it. It deliberately highlights the media, themes, and artistic approaches that have shaped artistic and social discourse in recent years.
From 25 to 28 September 2025 the exhibition will be a part of Prague Art Week25, the Czech Republic’s largest event dedicated to fine art.
The exhibition will run until 6 October and will be open to the general public free of charge.
