Movement Laboratory is founded in 2020 as a space where people interested in movement arts, dance, physical theatre, circus and movement overall can meet, mingle and move. The basic skills to practice will be:
- Connection and understanding with ones' body.
- (Non verbal) communication with another moving body.
- Playfulness and presence.
In the sessions of Movement Laboratory we will explore the richness of movement in terms of muscular tension, rhythm, dynamics and composition in space. The session is organized to focus on 1 or 2 fundamental principles that are developed through solo and collective improvisation.
Built on the idea of 'Principles and exploration' > 'Sequences and choreography', MoveLab is a space that offers a movement experience and training that doesn't separate the Movement Practice with the Social Practice. Movement and Improvisation become a shared group experience.
The session is meant to be for complete beginners, as well as proffesional dancers/performers and everyone in between.

Structure of the session:
18:00-18:10 Arrival, changing and preparing for the session.
18:10-19:45 Warm up, games, training and main concepts of the session.
19:45-20:00 Closing Improv Session.

Taro Troupe is a Spanish-Japanese performer and theatre-maker based in Prague. As a performer he works in a variety of disciplines that go from Physical Theatre to Contemporary Dance, Mime Corporel, New Circus and Spoken Word.
His approach to Movement Theatre is marked by the focus on the body as the main tool of expression, as he is influenced by the works of Eugene Barba, Ethienne Decroux and Schinca Method© of Laban Technique.
Graduated in Physical Theatre BA at Real Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático (Madrid). He has performed for Spitfire Company, Laterna Magika, Pan.Optikum Aktionstheater. Main member of Losers Cirque Company (Circus) and Nhung Company (Physical Theatre)
He is the founder and lector of the Movement Laboratory.
