JAZZ DOCK ORCHESTRA plays Monk and Mingus

Na červencovém koncertě uvede Jazz Dock Orchestra hudbu dvou legendárních jazzových skladatelů – Thelonia Monka a Charlese Minguse. Originální aranže uměleckých vedoucích orchestru Jana Jiruchy a Andyho Schofielda podtrhnou Monkovy osobité melodie a Mingusův syrový styl vycházející z blues a kořenů americké hudby. Koncert nabídne skvělé sólisty orchestru i energický swingující zvuk celé kapely.

Jazz Dock Orchestra will play music by two great jazz composers, Thelonius Monk and Charles Mingus. Original arrangements by the band's co-leaders Jan Jirucha and Andy Schofield highlight Monk's intricate, off-centre melodies and Mingus' blues and roots approach to composition, featuring the band's outstanding soloists and swinging ensemble sound.
