V srpnu uvede Jazz Dock Orchestra program věnovaný hudbě jednoho z největších bigbandových lídrů v historii jazzu – Buddyho Riche. Tento legendární bubeník formoval nejen éru swingu, ale ovlivnil i moderní pojetí velkých jazzových orchestrů. Jeho kapely byly vždy známé svou nekompromisní energií, precizností a silným groovem. Zazní aranže od významných skladatelů 60., 70. a 80. let, jako jsou Oliver Nelson, Bill Holman a Bob Mintzer. Večer bude zároveň jedinečnou příležitostí pro vyniknutí bubeníka Jazz Dock Orchestra Dana Šoltise, jehož rytmická síla a virtuozita budou hnacím motorem celého koncertu.

In August, the Jazz Dock Orchestra will present a program dedicated to the music of one of the most legendary big band leaders in jazz history, Buddy Rich — a towering figure of both the swing era and the modern big band tradition. Known for his explosive drumming and relentless energy, Buddy led ensembles that were always tight, virtuosic, and hard-swinging. The concert will feature dynamic arrangements by some of the finest jazz composers of the 1960s, '70s, and '80s, including Oliver Nelson, Bill Holman, and Bob Mintzer. This evening will also be a thrilling showcase for Jazz Dock Orchestra’s own powerhouse drummer, Dano Šoltis, whose command of rhythm and intensity will be front and center in this high-octane tribute.
