Jan Blomqvist není jen DJ – je virtuózní hudebník, zpěvák a producent, který na pódiu živě předvádí svůj jedinečný styl elektronických skladeb. Od svých raných let s grunge, kdy hrál na kytaru a bicí, až po adaptaci na digitální věk v berlínské hudební scéně, se Jan vyvinul v mistra live actů a průkopníka žánru „concert techno“.
Jan hrál klíčovou roli v oživení písničkářských aranžmá, skutečných nástrojů a propracovaných harmonií v techno a elektro skladbách. Jeho vliv je celosvětový – třikrát vystoupil na Coachelle, stal se stálicí Burning Mana a přitahuje masy fanoušků na festivalech a klubových vystoupeních, kterých odehraje až 100 ročně. Jeho vystoupení jsou známá svou emocionální intenzitou a precizní synchronizací zvuku a světel, která vytváří téměř kinematografický zážitek. Label zároveň slouží jako platforma pro mladé inovativní producenty, kteří sdílejí Blomqvistovu vizi hudby jako prostředku hlubšího sdělení.
Název labelu vychází z Janova posledního alba Disconnected, kde se hluboce ponořil do fenoménu rostoucí odcizenosti: není proto překvapením, že první singl vydaný pod jeho labelem, „Destination Lost“, je spoluprací s Rodriguezem Jr. a nese stejný tematický odkaz: „Toužíme po blízkosti, a přitom jsme vzdálení. Neustále celosvětově spojeni, a přesto jsme každý sám. Pořád něco hledáme, ale nic nenacházíme. A zatímco ztrácíme okamžiky, chyběl bych ti?“ – Jan Blomqvist & MaybeMahri
Po třech letech sólového turné se Jan loni znovu spojil se svými dlouholetými hudebními parťáky – bubeníkem Christianem Dammannem a klávesistou Felixem Lehmannem – a společně se vrátili na pódia jako plnohodnotná kapela. Jejich živá souhra přináší do elektronické hudby energii a hloubku koncertního vystoupení a posouvá žánr směrem k intenzivnějšímu a emotivnějšímu zážitku.
Šušká se, že Jan dokonce pracuje na novém albu.

In 2024, Jan fulfilled his dream of his own music label and founded Disconnected. The label aims to fill the gaps between deep house, melodic electro and intelligent, unconventional dreamy vocals, connecting the club and concert atmosphere. The label also serves as a platform for young, innovative producers who share Blomqvist’s vision of music as a means of deeper communication.
The label’s name comes from Jan’s latest album Disconnected, where he delved deeply into the phenomenon of growing alienation: it’s no surprise that the first single released under his label, “Destination Lost,” is a collaboration with Rodriguez Jr. and carries the same thematic message:

After three years of solo touring, Jan reunited with his longtime friends – drummer Christian Dammann and keyboardist Felix Lehmann – last year to perform together as a live band. Rumor has it that Jan is even working on a new album.
