Výstava Trust, Tears & Taxes zkoumá zkušenost dospívání v současném světě bez nejisté budoucnosti. Kdy se stáváme součástí společnosti? Co nás v ní činí důvěryhodnými? A máme možnost ovlivnit vlastní budoucnost, nebo jsme k ní předurčeni*y vlastním rodinným zázemím? Dialog odráží napětí mezi hledáním osobní identity a společenským očekáváním a její vnější validací. Dospívání zde není jen biologickou nebo psychologickou proměnou, ale kulturním a politickým aktem. Výstava otevírá otázku, co znamená „dospět“ v rozpolcené době.
Dominik Gajarský (*1986) je pražský výtvarník a hudebník. Ve své tvorbě se zabývá tématy jako je paměť, jinakost, nostalgie, mýty a pohádky. Často kombinuje text, zvuk a pohyblivý obraz, aby prozkoumal symbolické a historické souvislosti a propojil je se současností. Pod přezdívkou Slowmotiondancer produkuje, mixuje a masteruje hudební produkci na české i mezinárodní scéně. Zkomponoval několik skladeb k performancím, divadelním představením, krátkým filmům, dokumentárním filmům a zvukovým uměleckým instalacím. Mezi lety 2019-2015 studoval na Akademii výtvarných umění v Praze (Ateliér nových médií II/Škola Anny Daučíkové) a absolvoval stáž v UdK v Berlíně (pod vedením Josephine Pryde). Doktorské studium absolvoval na UMPRUM, kde spoluvedl ateliér intermediální tvorby VU III. Byl finalistou prestižních ocenění, například Leinemann Foundation Award v roce 2014 a Ceny Jindřicha Chalupeckého v roce 2017. Pravidelně se účastní samostatných i skupinových výstav, jeho práce byla prezentována například v rámci projektu Close-Up Cinema a greengrassi v Londýně, Pioneer Works, Union Docs, Cantina Royal v New Yorku nebo v Českém centru v Berlíně, Národní galerii a galerii Rudolfinum v Praze.
Janina Weißengruber (*1997) je vizuální umělkyně žijící ve Vídni. Od roku 2020 je členkou kolektivu adO/Aptive (společně s Danielem Hüttlerem), který se věnuje performativnímu, interaktivnímu a kolaborativnímu přístupu k umění a teorii. Společně s Olgou Mathildou Gärtner a Nanou Sorgo organizuje výstavní formát s názvem „dressing... Man Nequinn“, který se zaměřuje na oblečení, vztah umění a těla a nositelné edice. Absolvovala studium filozofie na Vídeňské univerzitě a od roku 2022 studuje v rámci programu Sochařství a prostor na Univerzitě užitého umění ve Vídni. Ve své samostatné umělecké praxi vychází především z popkulturní a masmediální estetiky a jejích jazykových forem. Její díla byla vystavena mimo jiné na Klimabiennale Wien, Never at Home, AIL Wien, Neuer Kunstverein Wien, Collegium Artisticum v Sarajevu, Galerie Raum mit Licht ve Vídni, Außenstelle Kunst Wien a v pražské Pragovka Gallery. V rámci projektu salzkammergut 24 představila své práce ve veřejném prostoru.
Program galerie Holešovická šachta vzniká za finanční podpory Ministerstva kultury České republiky, Magistrátu hlavního města Prahy a Městské části Praha 7.

Trust, Tears & Taxes explores the experience of growing up in a world without a clear future. When do we become part of society? What makes us trustworthy in it? And do we have the possibility to influence our own future, or are we predetermined by our own family background? The dialogue reflects the tension between the search for personal identity and social expectations and its external validation. Adolescence here is not just a biological or psychological transformation, but a cultural and political act. The exhibition raises the question of what it means to "grow up" in a divided time.
Dominik Gajarský (*1986) is an artist and musician from Prague. His work deals with themes such as memory, otherness, nostalgia, myths and fairy tales. He often combines text, sound and moving image to explore symbolic and historical contexts and connect them to the present. Under the moniker Slowmotiondancer, he produces, mixes and masters music production on the Czech and international scene. He has composed several tracks for performances, theatre shows, short films, documentaries and sound art installations. Between 2019-2015, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (New Media Studio II / Anna Daučíková Studio) and completed an internship at the UdK in Berlin (Josephine Pryde Studio). He completed his doctoral studies at UMPRUM, where he co-led the Intermedia Studio VU III. He has been a finalist for prestigious awards such as the Leinemann Foundation Award in 2014 and the Jindřich Chalupecký Art Award in 2017. He regularly participates in solo and group exhibitions and his work has been exhibited and presented at venues such as Close-Up Cinema and greengrassi in London, Pioneer Works, Union Docs, Cantina Royal in New York, the Czech Center in Berlin and the National Gallery and Rudolfinum Gallery in Prague.
Janina Weißengruber (*1997) is a visual artist based in Vienna. Since 2020 she is a member of the collective adO/Aptive (together with Daniel Hüttler) which is dedicated to a performative, interactive, and collaborative approach to art and theory. Together with Olga Mathilde Gärtner and Nana Sorgo, she organizes the exhibition format „dressing… Man Nequinn“ which focuses on clothing, body-related art works and wearable editions. She studied philosophy at the University of Vienna and has been enrolled since 2022 in the Sculpture and Space class at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. In her artistic solo practice, she primarily draws on pop-cultural and mass media aesthetics as well as its linguistic forms. Her works have been exhibited, among others, at Klimabiennale Wien, Never at Home, AIL Vienna, Neuer Kunstverein Wien, Collegium Artisticum in Sarajewo, Pragovka Gallery, Galerie Raum mit Licht, Vienna, Außenstelle Kunst Wien, and in public space in Gmunden as part of salzkammergut 24.
