Daniel Avery makes music that doesn’t offer an escape—it pulls you deeper in. Inspired by the ghostly textures of shoegaze and the driving force of techno, Avery forges a unique path, unafraid to delve into darkness while ultimately offering a burning sense of hope.
“This album is about looking directly into the darkness, not running away from it. There’s a way through these times, but it involves keeping the important people in your life close to you and navigating the noise together,” he said of Ultra Truth—but the sentiment runs through all his work. Over the past decade, Avery has shaped a world of sound that’s both forceful and fragile—layers of distortion, drifting voices, and rhythms that shimmer and break apart.
His tracks feel like memories caught in motion, emotional states stretched into noise and pulse. There’s warmth in the chaos, but it’s hard-won—beauty that flickers through static, never fully still.
Daniel Avery is coming to Fuchs2 with a DJ set for the first time on Friday, June 13. As of supporters, the night opens with Axis Alpha, whose deep, hypnotic sound lays down a focused, evolving groove. Later, Fleika b2b Marie Pravda bring a raw, immersive energy—one thrives in deep, mind-bending techno, the other blends fierce momentum with emotional range. As the night turns to morning, Silhouette takes over with shadowy textures and spacious rhythms.
