Scenárista, režisér, publicista a jeden z nejvýraznějších zjevů československé nové vlny by letos oslavil devadesát.
Cyklus věnovaný Pavlu Juráčkovi připomíná nejen jeho režijní počiny (Případ pro začínajícího kata, Každý mladý muž), ale i filmy, na jejichž scénáři se podílel. Mezi nimi i nadčasové sci-fi Ikarie XB 1 (1962), v němž se realita budoucnosti prolíná s dobovou úvahou o člověku. Juráček zanechal v dialozích filmu nesmazatelnou stopu. Tento snímek, který předběhl i Kubricka odysea jsme v NFA v roce 2016 digitálně restaurovali. V nové podobě, ve které jej v našem kině uvidíte, zamířil i na festival do Cannes.

The screenwriter, director, publicist and one of the most prominent figures of the Czechoslovak New Wave would have turned 90 this year.
The series dedicated to Pavel Juráček commemorates not only his directorial achievements (Case for the New Hangman, Every Young Man), but also the films he co-wrote. Among them is the timeless science fiction Ikarie XB 1 (1962), in which the reality of the future is intertwined with a contemporary reflection on man. Juráček left an indelible mark on the film's dialogue. We digitally restored this film, which outstripped even Kubrick's Odyssey, at the NFA in 2016. In the new form in which you will see it in our cinema, it is also headed to the Cannes Film Festival.
