Založený v únoru 2019, tento pražský mezinárodní “boptet“ se zaměřuje na autenticky swingující aranžmá jak klasických nahrávek, tak i „zanedbávaných“ klenotů ze zlatého věku bebopu 40. let až po vznik hard bopu v polovině 50. let. Projekt je inspirován životními dráhami dvou průkopníků bebopu, bubeníka Kennyho Clarka (1914-1985) a basisty Oscara Pettiforda (1922-1960), a byl nazván podle Pettifordovy kompozice Bohemia After Dark a Clarkova stejnojmenného alba (Savoy, 1955), který vyšel těsně po otevření Newyorského klubu Café Bohemia. Mezi další bopové giganty spojené s repertoárem projektu patří Dizzy Gillespie, Fats Navarro, Tadd Dameron, Thelonious Monk, Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, J.J. Founded in February 2019, this Prague-based international "boptet" focuses on authentically swinging arrangements of both classic recordings and neglected gems from the golden age of bebop in the 1940s to the emergence of hard bop in the mid-1950s. The project is inspired by the careers of two bebop pioneers, drummer Kenny Clarke (1914-1985) and bassist Oscar Pettiford (1922-1960), and is named after Pettiford's composition Bohemia After Dark and Clarke's classic album of the same name (Savoy, 1955), which was released just after the opening of the Café Bohemia club in New York. Other bop giants associated with the project's repertoire include Dizzy Gillespie, Fats Navarro, Tadd Dameron, Thelonious Monk, Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, J.J.
