Post-apocalyptic shamanism, ritual lo-fi folk, esoteric desert psychedelia. The concerts of the enigmatic group Ak'chamel are a hypnotic multi-sensory experience. The Texas duo, dressed in homemade costumes, take listeners on a trip to a sonic labyrinth filled with auditory illusions and mysteries.
The interplay of obscure string instruments, harmonium, flutes, detuned guitars, and ringing percussion in their music evokes an occult ceremony of an unknown tribe. Over the past two decades, Ak'chamel have released countless cassette tapes, cryptic VHS films, and several full-length albums. They are bringing the latest, Rawskulled, on their first-ever visit to Prague this coming April.
