DJ Extended feat. Wojciech Kwapisiński is an electroacoustic duo comprising two like-minded improvisers committed to the exploration of expanded sonic vocabularies. The project brings together DJ Extended (K. Gikas) on turntables and Wojciech Kwapisiński – a Warsaw-based musician active in improvised music, acousmatic composition, and music theory—on soprano saxophone. Together, they fuse acoustic and electronic elements into a dynamic interplay of soft noise, fragmented melodies, glitch textures, rhythmic loops, and extended instrumental techniques. Their performances unfold as evolving soundscapes, where interactive trajectories and subtle disruptions generate a continuously shifting auditory experience.




Kristupas Gikas (DJ Extended) – Kristupas Gikas is a Lithuanian musician, sound artist and a record producer, specializing in flutes, saxophones, turntables, and electronics. With a strong foundation in classical music, he transitioned into contemporary and electroacoustic music, studying at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, and currently pursuing a PhD in contemporary electroacoustic music. As a performer, he has participated in renowned festivals such as Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival, Vilnius Jazz, Gaida, and MAMA Jazz, collaborating with artists like Arturas Bumšteinas, Marijus Aleksa, Vladimir Tarasov, prof. Vytautas Landsbergis, Kazimieras Jušinskas, Manfredas Bajelis. His work spans solo performances, interdisciplinary art projects, and ensemble collaborations. He is known for his experimental approach, incorporating turntables, radio waves, and improvisational techniques into his performances. Gikas is also active in sound art, composition, and curation, having exhibited at galleries like "die Raum" (Berlin) and premiered electroacoustic compositions at major festivals. He has been involved in organizing international tours and curating experimental music projects. Beyond performance, Gikas has produced a podcast series on music and sound art, contributed to experimental radio projects and composed for interactive sound installations. His innovative approach and cross-disciplinary collaborations establish him as a key figure in Lithuania’s experimental music scene.
