Pre-requisite : Experienced basic level player: Know names of strokes, how to play, how to play patterns upon hearing its recitation.

We are between Spring and Summer .
a wonderful time to gather to sing and drum under the pepper trees
out in nature.
A day of community drumming, singing, extended playing time in lap and upright.
Skill building, rhythmic offerings with day centering around the mother.

Tending our rhythmic seeds
When we remember what we hold in our hands, we will hold it differently.
Each time we play we plant rhythmic seeds.
We give voice to the drum and all it represents.

We remember a lineage of ancient women frame drummers
who held the earth as sacred.

BRING:
Bring Frame Drums
Bring your own personal snacks and shared snacks is optional
Water bottle
Bring layers
Flat covered shoes
Sun hat
Natural Bug repelent
Note pad and pen
Wear festive colors
Optional to bring something you want charged on the altar
Carpool recommended with limited parking

*Arrive 15 minutes early to orient to parking, workshop area and bathrooms

Caution - We have rattle snakes, stay on paths and walk in awareness

Private Land considered a wild life preserve- no pets or domestic animals
