We never had a TV in our bedroom. We always had a 45-player.
Someone in our family or group of friends had a fantastic record collection ( probably still does ) and helped expose us to an incredible world of music.

About The DUPREES:
THE DUPREES have entertained audiences who have loved their unique and romantic sound for over six decades. They have made careers by giving new life to the Big Band standards and contemporary hits. With their romantic interpretations of some of the most beautiful love songs ever written, the Duprees are genuinely honored to be known as “New Jersey’s Ambassadors of Love Songs” and one of America’s favorite vocal groups. Tommy Petillo, Jimmy Spinelli, and Shawn Stevens are active today, clearly showing their dedication and passion for the type of music that started on a New Jersey street corner and grew to something classic and ultimately timeless. Since 1978, when the original members selected him as their lead singer, Tommy’s dynamic vocals embody the heart, soul, and true essence of voice, carrying a classic and timeless love song tradition. With great pride, he has continued the legacy of the Duprees songbook for more than 52 years of stage performances. Jimmy joined The Duprees lineup in 1991 and is a proud evolution from the original members.
The consummate professional Jimmy brings an energetic presence to the stage that is unsurpassed with his brand of showmanship, vocal style, and dance, thrilling audiences wherever he performs. A Former member of “Vito & The Salutations,” Jimmy has entertained audiences all his life. Shawn’s professional career began as a child actor, appearing in dozens of stage musicals, television productions, and feature film projects, receiving accolades and awards for his efforts. He has performed with the legendary Doo Wop groups “The Diamonds” and, most recently, “The Vogues“. In 2023, a member of The Duprees, Shawn, says, “It doesn’t get any better than this!
As always, we recognize, celebrate, and honor the music that captured everyone’s hearts over half a century ago. Although members have changed throughout the years, the singing group stayed in touch with their East Coast roots and dedication to bringing favorite classics in an updated style. Their commitment to preserving the sound, sharing it with more people, and spreading music appreciation everywhere continues.
