Come join us for outdoor climbing at Carderock, Maryland! Everyone is welcome - deaf or hearing, beginner or expert. We don't care. Just bring yourselves and all your friends. We want to climb and have a good time!
Rain: We will make an announcement in advance and cancel the event.
Safety: Safety is important, as this is not a gym. Always keep a body length's distance from the cliff edge.
What to Bring: Please bring your own harness, climbing shoes, appropriate clothing, and food and water as needed. If you can, bring a belay device and a trash bag.
Cost: Carderock is free.
Directions: If you're driving, set your GPS to coordinates 38.97616, -77.20573 for the climber's parking lot. If you don't have GPS, follow I-495 to Exit 41 and follow the signs for Carderock. After one mile, take the exit ramp up and turn left towards the Carderock entrance. At the T, make a right. Follow the road to the climbers' parking lot, which is located at the end of the road.
Accessibility: Carderock is not wheelchair accessible.
About ASL Climbing Days: ASL Climbing Days are hosted on the first Sunday of each month, rotating between the different major indoor gyms in the DC Metro area. Every May and October, we host outdoors.
