Voices in the Wind - with Sarah McKay

Too often those aged 12 to 18 have no opportunities to stretch their creativity outside a school setting., so we were delighted when top-class local artist Sarah McKay approached us suggesting a creative activity specially designed for teens!

Join Sarah for a creative workshop celebrating YOUR VOICE in our community. Together, we’ll build a vibrant coastal art installation that grows with every participant.

💭What do YOU want the future of Portrush to look like?
💭How would you make Portrush even better for young people?

Your artwork will be added to vibrant and growing bunting line, which will create a powerful visual impact during Swell Festival. Sarah also plans to create a festival ezine or digital gallery afterwards, by photographing each element of the piece and compiling the photos into a booklet or online archive titled “Voices in the Wind – Portrush Youth 2025”, extending the impact beyond the festival itself.
