Let's start a Seed Library

Conor (Community Garden Support/ Seed It Union) will lead us in a workshop looking at the amazing world of Seeds.

From the political (What is Seed Sovereignty - And why is it so important?) to the practical - (What types of seed we can save here, How to grow plants for seed, When - and how - to harvest, dry, select and store a range of different vegetable, herb and wildflower seeds. Also the philosophical - what can we learn from treating seeds as our teachers - living entities capable of engaging with, and leading change?

We will also be looking at the Community Seed Saving ecosystem in Ireland and the UK, and how best to organise with friends, neighbours and fellow growers to start planting the seeds of Resilience and Adaptability in your own Community.
