You've read the books, you've seen the films, but have you discovered Potter's hidden poetry yet?
Over the course of three weeks, this trio of Black Out Poetry Workshops will immerse you back into the world of Harry Potter as you discover hidden poetry that lies within the pages of each book.
What is Black Out Poetry?
Black Out Poetry is a fun, easy and creative way to engage with poetry. It involves taking a page or section of text and 'blacking out' words until you are left with a short poem. The page is then decorated to create a unique piece of artwork.
Do I need any creative or poetry experience?
No. These sessions are designed to be accessable to all. Some basic english reading skills are useful but the sessions are enjoyed by individuals who are learning english and who find literacy challenging.
Who is it for?
These sessions are suitable for everyone aged 11 and above. Under 18's will need to be accompanied by a paying adult.
When is it?
Thursday 26th June, 3rd July and 10th July. 6:15pm - 7:45pm.
How accessable is it?
The Greenhouse is on ground level however please be aware that there is a short walk through the park to reach the venue. The toilets are located to the rear of the building and are suitable for wheelchair users. Please get in touch if you require any further information.
What does it cost?
The cost for all three sessions is £35pp
There are a small number of reduced cost places available if cost is a barrier.
