The Portsmouth International Kite Festival is an exhilarating open-air spectacle that brings the skies of Southsea Common to life with movement color and creativity. Held annually since 1991 this celebrated event invites kite flyers and enthusiasts from across the globe to showcase their aerial artistry in a display like no other. From whimsical character kites and delicate appliqué designs to technically complex constructions and breathtaking 3D inflatables the festival offers a mesmerizing fusion of craft and performance.
Backed by Portsmouth City Council in collaboration with The Kite Society of Great Britain the festival is a cornerstone of the summer calendar drawing families tourists and kite lovers of all ages. This year is the 31st Annaul Celebration of this Festival.
