Future Folk Presents Megan Linford Album Release Show Plus The Day of the Rabblement GW Mercer

Future Folk returns to Portsmouth Cathedral this Spring with another Folk and Roots filled line up.

Future Folks own Megan Linford releases her album ‘In The Quiet’ recorded, written and produced at home during her pregnancy in 2024. A folk and roots musician whose calming, heartfelt songwriting really comes to life in her latest project. Pulling on inspiration from both Irish Folk, the 60s folk sounds and more contemporary roots. Come join Megan and her fellow musicians as they celebrate the release with a show.

Female led, folk-tinged-outfit featuring guitars and accordion; ‘The Day of the Rabblement’ perform original songs and tune arrangements to get you on you feet. With fat vocals, powerful songs and fast-tune instrumentals, they have a truly unique sound.

Steeped in the sounds of the old-time frailing banjo and the picking of a primitive blues guitar, G.W Mercer blends the old with the new where he reflects through his life’s blunders, mishaps and deep affections.
