WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
This course will demystify the techniques of Augmented and Virtual Reality and show how they are a vital tool in maritime heritage for planning and for outreach programmes. By the end of the course, participations will have an understanding of what AR and VR are, and realise that they are not out of their technical and financial reach. They may even find that they already have some relevant data that could be the basis for AR and VR experiences. The course will finish with a practical project planning session that may lead to projects being chosen by university students to implement for free.
