Comedian Tony V

Tony V began his stand-up comedy career in 1982 after stumbling into Boston’s Comedy Connection for a laugh during his days as a caseworker. A UMass graduate with a degree in psychology, Tony’s sharp, streetwise humor quickly made him a headliner nationwide.

Named “Funniest Person in Massachusetts” by Showtime in 1986, Tony went on to appear on HBO, Comedy Central, MTV, and late-night staples like Conan O’Brien and Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn. He’s also known as the voice and persona behind American Tourister’s iconic gorilla ads.

Tony’s acting credits span both comedy and drama, with appearances on Seinfeld, Dr. Katz, Boston Common, NYPD Blue, and films like State and Main, Celtic Pride, and Shakes the Clown. He’s also written and produced for TV, performed at major corporate events, and supported numerous charities.
