Rosebud Bookshop - May Feminism Book Club

Welcome to the next edition of the feminism book club at Rosebud Bookshop! Mariana is back to host another themed book club so you choose a book(s) within the theme and come to discuss! You can read a new to you book for the discussion or plan to discuss soemthing you've read in the past that fits with the theme.

This month's theme is Womanhood x Motherhood.

Why is the definition of a woman so many times linked to being a mother? To be or not to be: the choices and the limits. We'll explore together many stories that go into different choices of motherhood: deciding on having or not having children, motherly grief, compliated mother/child relationships, young pregnancies, undesired ones, the struggles to become pregnant, the fights for idenity, the roles we all have in families. Many are the possibilities, all feminist and all about women needing to be the ones making rules for their bodies.
