Wyrd War Presents: WIRED FOR CHAOS (2024)

Wyrd War proudly presents the West Coast theatrical premiere of HARLEY FLANAGAN: WIRED FOR CHAOS (2024), a powerful new documentary about the life and very hard times of one of New York City’s most complex and notorious musicians.

As the wild child of a single mother growing up in the burnt-out Lower East Side of Manhattan, Harley Flanagan’s life was shaped by extreme adverse childhood experiences from the very start. Bursting onto the punk scene at the age of 11 as the drummer of The Stimulators, he would soon harden himself for survival and establish the CRO-MAGS, a band that would exemplify the Kali Yuga philosophy and formidable skinhead aesthetics of the early New York Hardcore movement. Told through rare archival footage and profoundly vulnerable interviews, WIRED FOR CHAOS is an unflinching glimpse into the resiliency of the human spirit and the transformative healing power of art. Harley Flanagan ultimately emerges from the wreckage of an astonishingly violent life as a voice for mental health awareness and men’s recovery.

Harley and his wife Laura Lee Flanagan will join Wyrd War’s Dennis Dread for a live Zoom interview that will be projected on-screen before the film at 7:30pm.
