Clint Sargent, founding member and lead guitarist of , formed True Primitives in 2018. He composed and produced the band's debut album, Revolutions, released August 2018.The band's sound has been hailed as sexy groove gaze with heavy pulsating bass lines, shimmering guitar, skyscraper riffs, dramatic breaks, psychedelic guitar solos and textured electronic sounds.True Primitives sophomore album is was released early this year.
Their second release, Rise, finds Portland, Oregon’s True Primitives pushing deeper in their sonic journey with a vast auditory panorama of tightly crafted melodic songs that use signature delayed distortions and dense soundscapes delivered with powerful and distinctive groove-driven shoegaze, pulsing beats, textured guitars and psychedelic breaks.
