hey Dawgs. We back.
Play the worst running game we could come up with. Is there a winner? Not really. Is it fun? Probably not at all.
How it works- you will be issued a random 3 digit “race” number composed of the numbers 1 through 6. Your course will be 2 ish miles. At 8 am on August 17, 2025, we meet on Peaks Island, Portland ME and run the first course loop. Each runner rolls the big fuzzy die when they complete the loop. If they roll the first number on their bib they can cross the number ( only one cross off per loop) from their race number. If not, no worries, just go run another loop to earn another roll. Each runner continues to run loops and roll once when they return until all three numbers are crossed off in order from their race number. When all three numbers are crossed off u “finish” (win? Lose?).
The game includes other opportunities to earn additional rolls of the die through performing “penalties” designed to enhance your running performance yada yada yada…
Is this a real event?: NO. Definitely not. The only snacks/water/amenities will be the ones you bring. This game is for people who like torture not aid stations.
Cutoffs: Play til you DNF, roll all three numbers on your bib and cross them off in order, or the 8 hour cutoff if you are unlucky (lucky?) enough to not roll your numbers.
Entry: Indicate here that you are and show up. Bring 5 or more bucks to throw in ( charitable donation).
“Prizes”:First One Out, Most Loops in 8hrs Without Rolling Out, First Dry Heaves, First DNF.
Who is invited?: You and whomever you share this with that also loves torturous running games where there is no real purpose nor winner.
Are you lucky enough to roll it in three loops? Are you sadistic enough to keep playing this ridiculous game until you roll all three?
