Sun Day in Portland Maine

Sun Day celebrants in Portland can expect local food trucks, activities for children and a stage for musical performances, including Third Act Maine’s own Marcia Taylor - full list of acts coming soon! The power for the music will be supplied by a Ford F150 Lightning courtesy of Revision Energy. Revision will also have an electric motor boat and all sorts of battery powered lawn equipment on display.

Presented in partnership with Maine Climate Action Network (MCAN), A Climate to Thrive (ACTT), Maine Youth for Climate Justice MYCJ, Maine Sierra Club, Natural Resources Council of Maine (NRCM) and Center for an Ecology Based Economy (CEBE).

Sun Day is a global day of action on September 21, 2025, celebrating the unstoppable rise of clean energy and the movement to leave fossil fuels behind. Timed with the fall equinox—a moment of transition—Mainers are coming together to celebrate the power of the sun and wind, the energy sources that can power our world without pollution or profiteering.
