Dillon Simeone will be your guide in this engaging, hands-on workshop where you assemble and program your own LED controller to take home. To cover the cost of supplies there will be a fee of $35. This event is Deaf-friendly and welcomes all skill levels with loaner tools available.
Join us next Friday, July 25th, starting at 4pm at the Woodstock Cafe!
This is an independent, volunteer-run event by Dillon Simeone and costs will be used to reimburse him for supplies and will not go towards CymaSpace. It is serving as a test run for future workshops in our space so any feedback is appreciated in the comments. What would you pay for this experience? Would you be more likely to attend if there was a sliding price scale?
What will you do?
✅ Learn to flash and code an ESP32 microcontroller
✅ Take home a modular hardware kit you can build on
✅ Build connections in the maker & Deaf communities
What will be provided?
-A limited number of soldering stations (2 available, first come, first served)
-Loaner laptops (6 max, not guaranteed)
-Wi-Fi
Power strips & USB hubs
-All parts & pre-cut materials
-Mentorship & troubleshooting support
-Drinks and snacks available for purchase at the café
