OBA Kingpins PDX - Welcome back to the 2025/26 season of the Oregon Bowlers Association. Our tour is back this season and ready for another great year of competition. With the support of Storm Products and Nick Shivers Team (Marcus Winklepleck), we are excited for this upcoming season.
Event Details
Check in will start at 8 AM - We will have a lot of check ins so please be as early as you can be! Cash payments are preferred.
Entry Fee - $150.00 for members, $175.00 for non-members
Membership Fee - $50.00 - membership will allow you to accumulate points towards Grand Finals. If you are planning to bowl two events or more, I would suggest getting a membership.
Qualifying Format - Each team will bowl 12 baker games of qualifying. You will bowl a full game on each lane of your starting pair. (If you draw lane 3, you will bowl one game on lane 3 then one game on lane 4 and then will move to the next pair and repeat the process until you have completed your 12 games)
Your lineup can change each game; however, one bowler must bowl all the even frames, and one bowler must bowl all the odd frames.
Match Play Format - The top 12 teams will make our match play. This will consist of each team bowling a two game baker match (1 game on each lane) with each game winner getting 10 bonus pins and the match winner receiving 20 bonus pins. The first game will be 1st vs 12th, 2nd vs 11th, and so on. Games 2 through 4 will be a position round.
Step Ladder Finals - The top 4 teams will advance to the step ladder finals where each match will be a 2 game, total pins match, with each team bowling a full game on each lane.
Payouts - Payout will be 1 in 3 teams, with the top 12 making the step ladder finals.
Brackets - I am planning on trying to run brackets for this event. Since we are bowling 12 games, there are a lot of "sets" of brackets. I will be doing $10 team brackets by the set, and each set will be $100 (This will get you 1 bracket in each of the following games 1-3, 2-4, 3-5, 4-6, 5-7, 6-8, 7-9, 8-10, 9-11, 10-12).
