Murida-
Murida (Portland, OR) is guitar music that blends poetic lyricism and textural rock (shoegaze, dream pop, 2010s alt). For fans of Alvvays, Built to Spill, Wednesday. Music that embarks on trails that thin and rise in dynamic range—digital glitches that sputter up into the smoke of an altar that’s beginning to forget. Formed post-COVID, their debut record out fall 2025, channels bittersweet grooves and emotionally nuanced songwriting into songs that drift between the intimate and the mythic.
Lackadaisy- 🌸
Lackadaisy is a Portland-based grunge duo, formed in the summer of 2024 by Ryan Garaventa and Jenna Leigh. Drawing inspiration from ’90s icons like The Breeders and Pavement, Lackadaisy aims to capture the raw, fun energy of making music with friends, all while not giving a fuck.Their debut single, "Don't You Wanna Feel," dropped in March 2025, accompanied by a self-produced music video. "Don't You Wanna Feel" was self-recorded under the guide of David Pollock (Wild Ones, Cake), who also mixed and mastered the song. They released their second single, "Train," in late May, also accompanied by a music video and mixed and master by Pollock. Pollock is set to mix and master their upcoming full-length album, slated for a late summer release. While Lackadaisy operates as a duo in the studio, their live shows expand into a four-piece, with David Burrows (Mitch and the Melody Makers, Moody Idaho) on Guitar and Keys, and Nate Anderson (Friends Friends, Buddy Wynkoop) on drums, bringing their songs to life with full-band intensity.
Salmon Doza- Portland songwriter Salmon Doza (Sam Mendoza) contains multitudes. His latest release, “My Friend is Here” channels Adrianne Lenker and Hayden Pedigo with its layers of acoustic guitar and tender vocals with lyricism to match. These songs are then interpreted live through a 3 piece guitar ensemble or a solo set.Lately Sam’s shows have taken a louder approach through the 4-piece power pop ensemble affectionately dubbed The Dozies. With artists like Tony Molina and MJ Lenderman in his head, Sam writes concise and loud pop rock tunes in a lean set that you will almost certainly miss if you decide to get some fresh air between sets. A new release is being crafted and self described as “inner-child rock music” or “10-things-I-hate-about-you-core”.
