Have you ever asked yourself the following questions?
I always play myself in scenes/grounded. How can I play the absurd?
How do I develop a character for improv?
How do I develop a recurring character for sketches, shows, and guest spots with costumes and props?
Kara Moore has spent her comedy career coming up with characters for improv, sketch, and most recently a one-woman show! From folks like Elva J the kindly grandmother who carries around birthday cards with $2.00 bills in them, because if she hasn't met you she clearly forgot your birthday to Maiden Oregon the Beaver State Dominatrix, who will paddle you with a locally sustainably caught rainbow trout if you were raised in California, Kara runs the gambit on made up people.
In this workshop, we will get up on our feet to create lasting characters that connect with what stands out to you, the individual. This two-part series, with the first part being improv character work and how to develop stock characters. To full characters that can be performed in sketch, clown, one-person shows, and beyond.
