Katy & the Null Sets is the long-time "solo project" of Katy Ohsiek, vocalist and songwriter of Portland disco group Foamboy. Katy's melodies, lyricism, and unique song forms borrow from bossa nova, neo-soul, mid-2000's indie rock, and modern americana. They're joined by Pillow Spiders, the moniker of musician, songwriter and singer, Kiki Paroissien-Arce, who transports the listener into a dream-like sonic world through a blend of folk, pop and experimental influences. The lush instrumentation on her debut album, Counting Sheep (2024) highlights sensitive and introspective lyrics delivered by peaceful grounding vocals. The night opens with Alexis Mahler.
