Get ready for a weekend of fun and learning with Emily and Tonnam, joining us in Portland for the first time from San Jose, California! 🌴 This couple has a playful, super smooth style and we’re so excited for the chance to learn from these amazing instructors and ambassadors for Bachata Senusal America.
You can look forward to four hours of workshops with our visiting instructors, a practica to try out our new skills, private lessons, a styling class for follows/femmes from Portland’s own Melina and international artist Nora, who recently performed choreo live onstage with 🎵 Grupo Extra (!), and we'll wrap it up with a dreamy dance social, with bachata (and a touch of salsa) hits courtesy of DJ Sanchito and DJ Tumbao, to soak up the summertime magic of dancing. On the agenda:
Saturday afternoon: 2 hours of workshops, followed by a practica with Emily and Tonnam and music from DJ Sanchito at Dance With Joy Studios (8051 SE 16th Ave, Portland, OR 97202)
Saturday evening: Emily and Tonnam are available for private lessons, contact @dance_to__express on instagram for scheduling and prices
Sunday morning: 2 more hours of workshops with Emily and Tonnam at Dance With Joy Studios
Sunday evening: Follows' styling class by Melina and Nora, followed by a summer-y dance social with your favorite bachata tracks spun by DJ Sanchito and DJ Tumbao (location TBD)
