Honest, heartfelt folk with poetic fire and melodic grace
(For fans of Nanci Griffith, Dar Williams, Joni Mitchell)
Longtime friends and frequent collaborators, Avery Hill and Jaspar Lepak join forces for a special evening of original music. Rooted in the landscapes of their lives and the natural world, their songs invite reflection, connection, and honest expression—creating a performance that feels both intimate and expansive.
Jaspar Lepak (www.jasparlepak.com) crafts feminist folk songs that are poetic, resonant, and “always evocative” (Mostly Minnesota). Her 2024 release So Strong—inspired by love, loss, motherhood, and the fight for reproductive justice—debuted at #6 on the Folk Radio Chart. With a voice often compared to Kate Wolf and Nanci Griffith, Jaspar’s songs are bravely honest, tender, and sometimes playfully defiant. "So Strong is comforting and charmingly unpretentious.” (89.3 The Current)
Avery Hill (www.averyhill.studio) is a singer-songwriter, storyteller, and teaching artist (’ukulele, songwriting) known for her thoughtful lyrics, intricate melodies, and warm, engaging presence. Her latest album, The One Who Remembers (2024), explores memory as a portal through time—linking past, present, and future. Whether on stage or in the classroom, Avery brings humor, heart, and insight to her work.
This concert is a featured stop on their PNW Wonderland Tour—a celebration of music, friendship, and the wild beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Expect a night of songs that linger long after the final note.
