August Cell Phone Repair Workshop

Learn to diagnose and fix basic cell phone problems with Karlen!

This workshop will cover an overview of cell phone repair covering theory, identification, repair branches and general troubleshooting. The class includes a hands on lesson disassembling a provided utility model iPhone, front to back!

This workshop is focused on learning about cell phone repair via presentation and demonstration rather than actively repairing our phones during the workshop. However, Karlen will happily give overviews to any device that a model number can be provided for and explain how to do a variety of repairs as they lead the class.

Everyone is welcome to bring phones but the focus will be the demo units provided, the iPhone SE 2020 (couple iPhone 8 are thrown in)

Participants of all skill levels are welcome to this course!

We will have a 15 minute break during this course.

Participants are encouraged to bring a notebook for notetaking if desired.

Note on Pricing:

This class is priced on a sliding scale. This means tickets are available at a variety of prices so that our classes are accessible to people of a variety of economic situations. If you are able to afford a higher price ticket, please do so as the lower price tickets are limited. There are 2 available spots for free tickets and 2 available for $15 tickets. Please do not hesitate to take a low price ticket if that is what you can afford!

Proceeds from tickets go directly to paying our wonderful instructors and anything leftover is used by Repair PDX to continue hosting events and workshops like this one!
