Our 2025 Authors & Friends talks will highlight a series of books connecting broad environmental health concerns and systems change with the PFAS ‘forever chemicals’ crisis. Our first conversation will feature reporter Sharon Udasin, co-author of Poisoning the Well: How Forever Chemicals Contaminated America. Based on original shoe-leather reporting in four highly contaminated towns and damning documents from the polluters’ files, Poisoning the Well traces an ugly history of corporate greed and the devastation of human lives.

Udasin will be joined by Adam Nordell, the farmland contamination campaign manager for Defend Our Health. Nordell, who joined the organization as a PFAS-impacted farmer, advocates for policies to protect communities from PFAS contamination and supports other impacted farmers.
