Step Into History with a Guided Hike
Join us for our first History Hike of the season at the Dungeness Recreation Area, also known as “Voice of America” park! This landscape holds centuries of history, from the traditional use of its prairies by the S’Klallam people, to early agricultural settlements, to its role in World War II radio broadcasting.
Led by David Brownell, Executive Director of the North Olympic History Center, this guided experience will uncover the rich layers of history beneath your feet while offering stunning views of the Olympic Mountains and Strait of Juan de Fuca. Keep an eye out for local wildlife—binoculars encouraged!
