Victoria serves as the Solid Waste and Recycling Program Manager for Beaufort County, where she oversees operations, programs, and community education initiatives. She is passionate about environmental conservation and stewardship and is proud to support the County’s first food waste composting program, a collaborative effort to reduce landfill waste and promote sustainability across the Lowcountry.
Presentation Summary:
Beaufort County is launching a pilot composting program backed by a $273,600 USDA grant to reduce landfill waste, increase food waste diversion, and educate residents on composting. The multi-phase initiative will include outreach and education, organics drop-offs at county convenience centers, and eventually a finished compost product for use at Beaufort County facilities for residents.
