Do you love the Port Orchard Waterfront? Do you listen to audiobooks? Do you enjoy being around fellow book lovers? Then join us for an Audiobook Walk!
We're big fans of audiobooks 'round these parts, so when @libro.fm shared that some towns have audiobook walking book clubs, we knew we had to give it a try, especially during the summer months, when our waterfront really shines!
The details:
-We'll meet in the Port Orchard Marketplace common area near Salmonberry Books, aiming to set out at 7:00pm.
-The walk is free and open to everyone, but attendees will need to bring their own headphones, audiobook, and audiobook playing device. We definitely suggest checking out Libro.fm if you want to purchase an audiobook, but Libby from the Library has a ton of great free audiobooks!
-In the future, we may choose to try and listen to the same audiobook together, but for now, you're encouraged to listen to whatever audiobook you're currently digging.
-We'll walk as a group around Downtown and on the pedestrian path that borders the Inlet, enjoying a lovely evening and great stories! (Please note that there are plenty of benches and places to sit along the path if folks need to rest.)
-When we're back at the Marketplace, those who would like to hang out will gather at Carters to talk about what you read and debrief!
