Noons Creek Hatchery is hosting National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
It is on Tuesday, September 30th at 10am. Our guest speaker is Manuel Axel Strain, they are 2-Spirit artist from Musqueam, Simpcw and Syilx peoples.
PoMoArts will be hosting an art activity for the public: Fabric of Healing
People will get to weave together ribbons and yarn on looms as part of a collaborative healing process for our community. Creating a unified network of support and action. Natural materials will be used such as twigs, bark, and dried plants, even pieces of the ground we are on. Further carrying our intentions, reflecting on our roles, relationships, and learning as a community.
We aim to provide an opportunity for our community to listen and act on the calls for Truth and Reconciliation, and we look forward to seeing you at the event.
