FREE: Ikebana Workshop at OpenRoad Lexus Port Moody

Japanese floral arrangement workshop – presented by Vancouver Ikebana Association and OpenRoad Auto

Celebrate Japanese artistry, craftsmanship, and appreciation of form with an ikebana workshop at OpenRoad Lexus Port Moody as part of the Road to 25 Community Event Series to celebrate OpenRoad's 25th Anniversary — and you’re invited!

📍 OpenRoad Lexus Port Moody @ 3150 St. Johns Street, Port Moody

📅 Sunday, Oct 5 | 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

During the workshop, each participant will learn to create two (2) different arrangements. The workshop will be 2 - 2.5 hours in total duration.

FLORAL ARRANGEMENT #1

First learn to make a moribana arrangement, Sangetsu School style, under the instruction of Joan Masako Fairs. Sangetsu was founded in 1972 to bring paradise on earth through flowers. The focus will be on naturalness.

FLORAL ARRANGEMENT #2

You will then learn how to create a freestyle arrangement, instructed by Romy Chan of Sogetsu School, which was establised in 1926. They are known for their sculptural style.

You must register to participate in the ikebana workshop. Spots are available first come, first served.
