Mythos Monday: The Story of Persephone & the Descent

Sip on a cup of hot tea, as you join us for an evening of sacred storytelling and seasonal magic, where Lexi, our Illumination Guide, leads us into one of the most haunting and beautiful myths of autumn: Persephone’s descent into the underworld.

We’ll explore the story of Persephone and Demeter in its original Greek telling, trace how it’s been reimagined across cultures, and uncover the themes it carries. Grief, death, rebirth, and the turning of the seasons. Together we’ll ask: what does it mean to descend, and what wisdom waits for us in the dark?

This evening is part storytelling, part discussion, part reflection. It’s a space to experience myth, not as something far away, but as a living guide to our own cycles of loss, rest, and return.
